WHO Recruitment 2022 WHO India Country Office collaborates with the Government of India and relevant stakeholders within the framework of the collaborative Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS), to actively support the development and implementation of national health policies, strategies and plans aiming at promoting access to and utilization of affordable and quality health services and improving the financial protection against health-related risks.
The Country Office contributes to providing technical support in developing national policies, strategies and activities in the area of health systems strengthening including, (i) advocating for Universal Health Coverage and building up national capacity in UHC-related matters (ii) facilitating the adoption of evidence-based public health interventions as well as appropriate reforms/changes with a view to promote equity and accelerate the movement towards universal health coverage. Thus WHO intends to engage eligible candidates for the following post.

Description of Duties
Under the overall guidance of the WHO Representative to India, and the direct supervision of Team Leader (NPSP), with a view to achieve the expected results set out in the relevant WCO-India work plans in accordance with the WHO’s Country Cooperation Strategy with India, and the Polio Eradication & End Game Strategic Plan the incumbent will have the following responsibilities in her/his assigned area of work: COVID-19 Vaccination, Routine Immunization and WHO-NPSP Transition.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education
- Essential: Medical graduate (MBBS/BHMS/BDS/BAMS)
- Desirable: Post graduation qualification in Public Health / Community Medicine. Experience in Grant management with multiple international donors including UN agencies.
Experience
- Essential: At least 5 years relevant experience in the field of Public health, grant management with multiple international donors including UN, strong coordination with government department/international donor/ public sector undertaking. Working Knowledge of Computers including MS office package
REMUNERATION
Monthly remuneration is INR 274,186 taxable as per Indian laws and the appointment will be through Special Services Agreement (SSA) extendable subject to satisfactory performance and continuing need for the function. S/he could be posted anywhere in India as per the project needs.
