1. Name of the Post: Junior Consultant (Epidemiology )

No of Post: 01

Duration: 18 months

Essential Qualification:

A. Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS ) with post-graduation (degree/diploma/program) in Public Health/Community Medicine (PSM)/Epidemiology or degree in Health Care Management/Clinical Research/PopuIation Sciences.

B. Minimum 3 years of experiences in disease surveillance/public health management/public health epidemiology/public health research

C. Experience in NACP at national/state-level preferred

Desirable Qualification:

i. Working knowledge of Biostatistics /statistical package (Epi info, SPSS,SATA/ R )

ii. Good knowledge on use of Microsoft office especially Word, Excel and Power Point

iii. Publications in peer reviewed journal

Age Limit: 45 Years

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 70,000/-

Duration: 18 months

Essential Qualifications:

a) Bachelors degree in medical sciences (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS) with post graduation (degree/diploma/program) in Public Health/Community Medicine (PSM)/Epidemiology or degree in Health Care Management/Clinical Research/Population Sciences.

b) Minimum 5 years of experience in disease surveillance/public health management/public health epidemiology/public health research Experience in NACP at national/state-level preferred

Desirable Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Biostatistics /statistical package (Epi info, SPSS,R, STATA. Good knowledge on use of Microsoft office, Excel, and Word power point Publications in peer reviewed journal.

Consolidated Salary: Rs.1,00,000/-

Age: Less than 70 years

Job Requirement For Above Two Posts:

i. Primary job location at ICMR- NARI but includes field visit as required To support

ii. Implementation of surveillance & Epidemiological activities , epidemiological investigations, verbal autopsy, supportive supervision of surveillance, capacity building, periodic review etc. in the facility/community field settings

iii. Analysis of program data, Manuscript writing, development of Operational Manuals

iv. Other Surveillance & Epidemiology under NACP related work as assigned by Nodal officer at ICMR-NARI.

v. Nodal officers (ICMR-NARI) and NACO as required
