Feeling Bloated? Is it GAS??

Feeling BLOATED?? The too-full feeling you get in your belly.We’ve all felt it.

What do you think of it? Is it from eating too much?Too Much Gas?

Probably Not….

Most people who think they’re bloated because they have gas .

But,actually there may specific health issues behind it.

It may include irritable bowel syndrome , acid reflux etc.

Your stomach is only about the size of your fist.

When You take too much of salty food or carbs it may retain water,which can arise difficulty to stretch your stomach.As a result you can make you feel bloated.

Among the carbs,Complex carbs like whole grains,fruits,vegetables take longer time to digest;whereas Simple carbs like white bread,pastries,candy etc not only enter your blood instantly,but also retain water too many.

Not only the food when you drink or any  carbonated drink,which are filled with gas,they fill up your digestive system with gas.You may burp some of it away, but once the gas reaches your intestines, it stays until you pass it. And most sodas are full of sugar, which can make you hold on to water and feel bloated.                                                                                                                                                           

If you have intolerance to dairy food like milk,ice cream,it may cause pain abdomen with bloating of abdomen.

Not only the Dairy product,Celiac disease or Gluten(protein present in wheat, barley, rye, and many prepackaged foods)  intolerance may attack the lining of your intestine&cause diarrhoea,pain abs along with bloated abdomen.


The faster you eat,the more air you swallow. And like with bubbly drinks, once that air passes to your intestine, it can make you feel bloated.

It  takes around 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain you’re full, so you can eat enough to make yourself bloated and uncomfortable before your brain gets the message.

Constipation or irregular bowels due to some foods can cause it, along with not drinking enough water, sudden changes in your diet, or stress.

Most of the time, you can manage bloating on your own. But if you feel BLOATED almost everyday,if discomfort persists talk to your doctor..
