ONGC announced Job notification who completed BHMS for the position of Homeopathy.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a “Maharatna” Public Sector Enterprise, and India’s flagship energy major engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas in India and abroad, intends to engage Doctors on contract basis on the following post at its locations in Mumbai, Panvel, Nhava and Uran:

General Instructions:
i. Candidates can apply for one post only.

ii. In case of candidates submitting multiple applications, the last application shall be considered as final for consideration of candidature.

iii. Engagement is purely temporary, on contract basis, and can be terminated at any time by giving one month notice, by either side.

iv. Engagement on contract would be subject to medical fitness.

v. No claim for regular employment in ONGC, by virtue of this contractual engagement, shall be entertained at any stage.

vi. Selected candidates will be paid consolidated monthly remuneration as mentioned above vii. On successful completion of one year period an annual increase for Rs 1000/- may be considered for Field Medical Officers (FMO), General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) & Medical Officer (Occupational Health) engaged on full time contract basis. This would be in addition to remuneration, free boarding and lodging while on duty at Offshore.

viii. Twelve days casual leave will be granted in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis. One casual leave will be allowed for a month. Maternity leave will be granted as per Maternity Benefit Amendment Act to the female doctors subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions laid down in the act.

ix. Selected candidates shall be required to sign a contract agreement as per the terms and conditions of ONGC.

x. SC/ST/OBC/EWS reservation is provided as per government guidelines.

xi. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining.

xii. The contract shall end on expiry of the prescribed period and no separate notice shall be required to be given.

xiii. Candidature/contract of candidate(s) submitting false certificates or suppression/ submission of incorrect information shall be liable for termination / disqualification / rejection at any stage.

xiv. Only Indian nationals need to apply.

xv. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.

xvi. Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions will have to appear for an interview either face to face or through video conferencing (to be decided by ONGC). Candidates shall be intimated the date and time of interview through SMS/ E-mail.

xvii. The selected candidates are to be posted in Offshore Installation, Nhava, Uran, Panvel and Mumbai.

Selection Procedure :
Selection Criteria: Following weightages shall be assigned to different parameters in the selection process:-

Qualification – 70 marks (60 marks for essential qualification & upto 10 marks for any relevant higher qualification) Interview – 30 marks :Total – 100 marks Note: The breakup of 10 marks for such higher qualification shall be considered as follows:

a) Where a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field (M.B.B.S., B.H.M.S) is the minimum prescribed qualification, 5 marks shall be given to a Master’s degree in the relevant field (e.g. MD/MS).

b) Further additional 5 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM).

c) However, where a Master’s degree in the relevant field is the minimum essential qualification for example MD (Orthopedic) for the post of Orthopedic, minimum 60 marks may be given for the essential qualification. For any Post Master’s qualification, additional 10 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM).

D. Qualifying marks in the interview shall be 18 marks for UR/OBC/EWS and 12 marks for SC/ST category.

E. Finalization of Merit List i. Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empaneled in the Merit List. ii. Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the sum total of marks scored by the candidate in qualification and interview. iii. For posts other than Medical Officer-Occupational Health, in case of a tie in the total marks scored between two candidates, then the candidate who scores more marks in interview shall be considered senior. In case there too the marks are equal then the candidate who is older in age shall be considered senior for issue of offer of appointment. iv. For the post of Medical Officer-Occupational Health, in case of a tie in total marks between two candidates, one of whom has a training in occupational health/ public health or occupational medicine and the other doesn’t, then preference shall be given to the candidate who has a training in occupational health/ public health or occupational medicine.

F. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGC Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGC’s Website at www.ongcindia.com.

How to Apply :
a) Candidates need to visit www.ongcindia.com to register on our Registration weblink. The registration site shall remain open from 26-08-2020 to 01-09-2020.

b) Candidates need to attach the following documents in pdf format in their online form on the weblink and submit the same:

i. Scanned copy of any one Photo identity proof like PAN Card, Aadhar card, Passport, Driving License. Voter I Card.

ii. Scanned copy of Passport size photograph in jpg/ jpeg format.

iii. Class 10th Board Certificate containing Date of Birth (DOB). No other proof for determining Date of Birth shall be considered.

iv. All semester MBBS/ B.H.M.S. marksheets.

v. Internship Completion Certificate.

vi. M.B.B.S./ B.H.M.S./ M.S./ M.D. Degree.

vii. Valid Registration Certificate with the statutory registration Council like MCI etc. For the post of Homeopathy, registration with the Maharashtra Council of Homeopathy is Essential.

viii. SC/ST/OBC Caste Certificate (in case of OBC candidate caste certificate / NCL certificate should be in central government format) and the Income & Asset Certificate in case of EWS candidates.

ix. PWD Certificate (if applicable) Certificate of disability should be issued by Civil Surgeon in case of PWD Certificate. The minimum degree of disability in order for a person to be eligible for any concessions/benefits would be 40%.

x. Proof of Higher Qualification (if any) – Mark sheet of all semesters and Degree/ Diploma Certificate.

xi. Experience Certificate (if any). xii. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from existing employer, if any (in case the candidate is a regular employee in a Govt. organisation / PSU).

xiii. Valid proof of change of name (in case, applicable).

c) In case of any difficulty in uploading their documents in the weblink, the candidates can mail the same on our e-mail id: recttongcmumbai@ongc.co.in before the last date of registration.

d) In case of a face to face interview, candidates will be required to bring the above documents in original along with a set of Self-Attested Photocopies of documents and report to Chief Manager (HR)-I/C R&P as per date, time and venue intimated.

e) Shortlisted candidates shall be called for either a face to face interview or through video conferencing (to be decided later by ONGC) based on a preliminary verification of the documents submitted by the candidate. The candidates are therefore advised to submit complete documents and true and correct data in the weblink. In case of failure to submit complete information or complete set of documents, their candidature is liable to be rejected.

f) In case of the interview being conducted through video conferencing, candidate will be advised the date and time of the interview through e-mail and through SMS. ONGC however does not take any responsibility of the mail being sent to a spam folder or the message not being delivered due to network failure.

g) In case of video conferencing the following software shall be used for video communication:- MS Teams or Webex or Google Meet. For better user experience, candidates are advised to keep these apps downloaded. ONGC may add more apps for communication depending upon feasibility. Candidates will be informed of the detailed modalities for video conferencing subsequently.

h) For the post of Homeopathy, in case large number of applications are received, ONGC reserves the right to enhance the criteria for qualification. In such a case, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 (i.e. for 1 vacancy, 5 candidates will be called) on the marks scored in the minimum essential qualification. The percentage of marks has to be calculated as per institute / university rules. Candidates have to provide proof of calculation of percentage in case they are shortlisted for interview.

i) All communications with the candidate shall be through SMS / e-mail.

j) Candidates may please ensure that they are fulfilling all the requisite criteria prior to appearing for personal interview, failing which, their candidature is liable to be rejected/cancelled.
